Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: October 2026
I want everyone to be able to use okumen.com, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.
Standards followed
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This also covers the web requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, which supports the European Accessibility Act.
What's been done
- Text and controls meet minimum colour contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
- The menu stays at the top of the page on larger screens without covering the item you've moved to. On small screens and at high zoom it scrolls away, so it never takes up the view.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and lists so screen readers can navigate them, and the menu marks which page you're on.
- The contact form has visible labels, says which fields are required, and explains any error in words next to the field.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout reflows on narrow screens without sideways scrolling.
- The site respects your system settings for reduced motion, dark mode and high-contrast mode.
How it was tested
The site was assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA using automated checks, keyboard-only use and a screen reader. I'm not aware of any parts of the site that fail the standard.
